Film Score Monthly has announced a new soundtrack edition for Lawrence Kasdan’s 1981 classic thriller Body Heat starring William Hurt and Kathleen Turner. The 2-CD set features the film’s music composed and conducted by John Barry. The first disc includes the full score, as well as alternates and a number of source music cues. The second disc opens with Barry’s never-released soundtrack LP and also features 10 early demos of Barry’s main theme, recorded with a small combo to demonstrate how it might sound with various instruments playing the melody.
