James Levine is scoring the new TNT crime drama Major Crimes. The show is a spin-off of the hit procedural The Closer, which will air its series finale next Monday, August 13. The series stars Mary McDonnell, G. W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chan, Raymond Cruz and Phillip P. Keene who are all reprising their roles from The Closer. They are joined by new cast members Kearran Giovanni and Graham Patrick Martin. James Duff, Michael M. Robin, Rick Wallace and Greer Shephard are executive producing the show. Levine whose TV scoring credits include such hit shows as Glee, Nip/Tuck, Damages, Rizzoli & Isles and American Horror Story has written the music for all seven seasons of The Closer. Major Crimes is set to premiere on Monday, August 13 following The Closer finale and will be airing every Monday night on TNT. For updates on the series, visit the official show website.
