  1. Sean Clifton says:

Why is it that not every song that appears on the show has made it to the soundtrack? So far I have spent a considerable amount of time searching for on of the songs played. I would like to know the name of the artist and song if possible, to the song playing while Lilly Diamond is getting out of the pool at the hotel in the second episode.

  2. Ernie Berger says:

Whodid/ What the name of theme song forStarz “Magic City”?????

  3. aol says:

    @Sean Clifton Beyond the sea

I wanna know the theme song.

  4. aol says:

I think the title song is a remix of Mambo Gallego by Tito Puente

  5. Charlie says:

I believe the theme song is a custom version of “Lujon” by Henry Mancini. It was also featured in the move “The Big Lebowski”.

    • Marcus says:

Charlie! You nailed it. Such a gorgeous song. When I was little, I listened to it on my Dad’s AM transistor radio. We didn’t have much but we had the music.

Ive been watching “magic CIty” and could not remember why that song haunted me. What a wonderful period in life.

      • G says:

I agree that it sounds like a remix of Lujon. However, this “remix” in Magic City is not the same as the Lujon version in the Big Lebowski.

    • Seth says:

It also sounds like a custom version of Ocean Beach by Black Mighty Orchestra from the album Rendevous Lounge.

    • Andres says:

Who sings the theme song during the “Magic City” season 2 trailer?

” imma kill em all, burn this mother down”?

    song starts at 30 seconds

    • Jacob says:

It’s already been mentioned in these comments, it’s “Kill Em All” by Shareefa

    • Bruno says:

Who Cares? It is annoying and has nothing to do with the period. Very disappointed.

      • Jacob says:

Apparently hooverm41 does. Despite your disappointment, the music doesn’t have to stay true to the time period the show takes place nor does it say anywhere on the tin that trailers require authentic music. They’re trailers for crying out loud, their job is to entice viewers. Shockingly enough, a catchy tune helps speed that process along.

  32. Jonathan Haskins says:

Whats the song by rihanna in the season 2 trailer

  33. Sandra says:

  34. Susan says:

I am so disappointed in the change of the theme music for season 2. Please, please, bring it back. As mentioned before, it captures the era perfectly. (I know. I was there.)
