Two new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Pixar’s animated film Cars 2 directed by John Lasseter is expected to top the weekend box office. The film’s music is composed by Michael Giacchino. A soundtrack album featuring five songs, as well as Giacchino’s score has been released by Walt Disney Records. Also opening wide is the comedy Bad Teacher directed by Jake Kasdan and starring Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake and Jason Segel. The film’s score is written by Michael Andrews. Opening in limited release is Chris Weitz’s drama A Better Life starring Demian Bichir. Alexandre Desplat has composed the music for the film. A soundtrack album including his score and the original song El Jardinero by Ozomatli has been released on Nacional Records. Also opening in limited release is the documentary Turtle: The Incredible Journey. The film’s score is by Henning Lohner. A soundtrack album featuring Lohner’s score has been released by Pale Blue Limited as a digital release and is available to download on iTunes.
