It has been announced today that the official soundtrack album for the upcoming sci-fi action film Rise of the Planet of the Apes will be released by Varese Sarabande Records. The soundtrack includes the score from the movie by composer Patrick Doyle on his second major summer blockbuster project after Thor. The album will be released on July 26, 2011. Rise of the Planet of the Apes stars James Franco, Freida Pinto, Andy Serkis, John Lithgow and Brian Cox. The movie directed by Rupert Wyatt has been described as an origin story of the Planet of the Apes saga. 20th Century Fox is releasing the film on August 5.
