Mondo Boys (Phoenix Forgotten, The Girlfriend Experience, She Dies Tomorrow, Dave Made a Maze) have composed the original music for the upcoming comedy Fatman. The film is written and directed by Eshom Nelms & Ian Nelms (Small Town Crime, Waffle Street) and stars Mel Gibson, Walton Goggins and Marianne Jean-Baptiste. The movie follows a 12-year-old boy who hires a hitman to kill Santa Claus after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking. Nadine de Barros is producing the project for Fortitude International, alongside Todd Courtney for Mammoth Entertainment, Michelle Lang for RBL Studios, Robert Menzies (The Blackcoat’s Daughter) for Zed Filmworks and Lisa Wolofsky (Carrie Pilby) for Skywolf Media. Fatman will be released in select theaters and on VOD this holiday season by Saban Films.
The composers’ other recent projects include the thriller Kyle Rankin’s Run Hide Fight (starring Thomas Jane, Radha Mitchell and Isabel May), which just premiered at this year’ Venice Film Festival, as well as Tiller’s Russell’s thriller Silk Road (starring Jason Clarke, Nick Robinson, Alexandra Shipp, Katie Aselton, Jimmi Simpson and Paul Walter Hauser), which was originally set to be released at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and is currently awaiting a new premiere date.
