Königskinder will release a soundtrack album for the Academy Award-nominated documentary Of Fathers and Sons. The album features the film’s original music composed by Karim Sebastian Elias (Help, I Shrunk My Teacher, Treasure Island). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 8 and will be available to download on Amazon. Of Fathers and Sons is directed by Talal Derki and follows the filmmaker as he returns to his homeland where he gained the trust of a radical Islamist family, sharing their daily life for over two years. The movie, which is one of the five nominees in the Documentary Feature category at this year’s Academy Awards, premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it Grand Jury Prize for World Documentary was released in select U.S. theaters this past fall by Kino Lorber and is now also available on VOD. The movie will also be coming out on DVD on March 5.
