Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Still Alice, Layer Cake, The Young Victoria) has recently composed the music for the upcoming British drama Farming. The film marks the feature directorial debut of actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and stars Damson Idris, Kate Beckinsale, John Dagleish, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jamie Winstone, Genevieve Nnaji and Zephan Amissah. The movie tells the story of a London-born Nigerian child who voluntarily placed in a white working-class home as part of a 1960s social experiment. Akinnuoye-Agbaje also wrote the screenplay. Michael London (Sideways, House of Sand and Fog) is producing the project with Janice Williams (Trumbo, SMILF), Francois Invernel and Andrew Levitas. Farming will premiere next month at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival.
As previously reported, Eshkeri’s other upcoming projects also include Ralph Fiennes’ The White Crow and the BBC series Informer.
Love the score from the movie. Nice music.
