Alexandre Desplat has been hired to score the upcoming animated sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2. The film is directed by Chris Renaud (The Lorax), co-directed by Yarrow Cheney and features the voices of Kevin Hart, Eric Stonestreet, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan and Dana Carvey who will reprise their characters from the first movie. They are joined by Harrison Ford, Patton Oswalt, Tiffany Hadish, Nick Kroll and Pete Holmes. Brian Lynch (Minions, Hop) and Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio (Despicable Me, Horton Hears a Who) wrote the screenplay. Chris Meledandri & Janet Healy (Despicable Me series, Sing) are producing the Illumination Entertainment production. Desplat has previously scored the 2016 original movie. The Secret Life of Pets 2 is set to be released on June 7, 2019 by Universal Pictures.

Desplat’s other upcoming projects include Chris Weitz’s Operation Finale (opening in theaters on August 29), Jacques Audiard’s The Sisters Brothers and Thomas Vinterberg’s Kursk (premiering next month at the Toronto Film Festival).

      I’m sorry, but Poxar may have made some lesser movkes like Cars 3 and The Good dinosaur in the last fee years.

      But movies like Coco, Inside Out & Incredibles 2 were in my opinion fantastic movies.

      But calling they’re movies ttash is a bit far fetched.
