Atlantic Records will release the official soundtrack album for the movie musical The Greatest Showman. The album features the original songs from the movie composed by Academy Award winners Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (La La Land, Dear Evan Hansen) and performed by the movie’s cast. Two tracks, The Greatest Show and This Is Me, will already be available to download tomorrow. The full soundtrack will be released on December 8, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Greatest Showman is directed by Michael Gracey and stars Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson and Zendaya. The movie is inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum and revolves around a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. Seriously? Nothing about the score? Weak.
Love the new song as Hugh goes almost from talking to himself to the full cast inviting everybody to the show. This looks to be a great musical. I hope it will also be a great movie.
Interesting, no songs for Rebecca Ferguson, despite her playing an opera singer. Are they dubbing her voice? (They don’t do that very often anymore in Hollywood)
