Benjamin Wallfisch is reteaming with director David F. Sandberg on the upcoming supernatural thriller Annabelle 2. The film stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto. The movie follows a dollmaker and his wife who welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle. Gary Dauberman wrote the screenplay. Peter Safran (The Conjuring, Buried) and James Wan (Furious 7, Saw, Insidious) are producing the sequel. Joseph Bishara has composed the music for the 2014 original Annabelle film, as well as both movies in The Conjuring series. Wallfisch has previously collaborated with Sandberg on this year’s Lights Out. Annabelle 2 will be released on May 19, 2017 by Warner Bros. Pictures. Visit the official movie website for updates.
Wallfisch has also recently co-scored Theodore Melfi’s Hidden Figures with Hans Zimmer & Pharrell Williams. His other upcoming projects include Gore Verbinski’s A Cure for Wellness, which is set to be released on February 17, 2017 and Bitter Harvest, which will open in U.S. theaters on February 24, 2017.
