The drama is based on Nunn’s novel and revolves around a forensic neuropsychiatrist who reluctantly gets sucked into a violent and dangerous world of mistaken identity, police corruption and mental illness. Cunningham and Nunn are also executive producing the Fox 21 Television Studios production with Michael London (Sideways, The Illusionist, Trumbo), Laurie, Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Empire) and Lenny Abrahamson (Room, Frank) who also directed several episodes. Bates (Another Earth, The Magicians, I Origins) has previously scored Hulu’s The Path and is expected to return for the second season, which is set to air in 2017. The first season of Chance will premiere on October 19, 2016 on Hulu.
