Trevor Morris has been tapped to score the upcoming NBC drama Taken. The show stars Clive Standen, Jennifer Beals, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Gaius Charles, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert and Jose Pablo Cantillo. The series based on the hit movie franchise starring Liam Neeson tells the origin story of younger, hungrier, former Green Beret Bryan Mills as he deals with a personal tragedy and is pulled into a career as a deadly CIA operative. Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element, Lucy) is executive producing the EuropaCorp TV and Universal Television production with Alexander Cary (Homeland, Lie to Me), Matthew Gross (Across the Universe, Body of Proof), Edouard de Vésinne, Thomas Anargyros and Alex Graves (Game of Thrones, The West Wing) who directed the pilot episode. Morris whose previous scoring credits include the features Immortals, Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen and TV shows such as The Tudors and The Borgias also continues to score History’s Vikings, which will return for a fifth season next year and The CW’s Reign, which will come back for a fourth season in 2017. His upcoming projects also include the feature comedy Goon: Last of the Enforcers, as well as NBC’s Emerald City, for which the composer recently recorded an orchestral score at Air Studios in London.
