Raney Shockne has been tapped to score the upcoming CBS comedy Kevin Can Wait. The show is created by Bruce Helford, Rock Reuben (The King of Queens, Zookeeper, Here Comes the Boom) and Kevin James who also stars in the series with Erinn Hayes, Taylor Spreitler, Ryan Cartwright, Mary-Charles Jones, James DiGiacomo, Leonard Earl Howze, Gary Valentine and Lenny Venito. The comedy follows a newly retired police officer who looks forward to spending more quality time with his family only to discover he faces much tougher challenges at home than he ever did on the streets. Helford, Reuben and James are also executive producing the CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television production with Jeff Sussman and Andy Fickman (The Game Plan, She’s the Man) who also directed the pilot episode. Shockne whose previous scoring credits also include the feature The To Do List and the recent comedy Internet Famous is also co-scoring the upcoming USA drama Queen of the South with the previously announced composer Giorgio Moroder. The show is created by by M.A. Fortin & Joshua John Miller and stars Alice Braga, Peter Gadiot, Carlos Gomez, Justina Machado and Joaquim de Almeida. The series tells the story of Teresa Mendoza, a woman who is forced to run and seek refuge in America after her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico.
