Jeff Cardoni has signed on to score the upcoming comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. The film is directed by Jake Szymanski and stars Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick, Adam Devine, Aubrey Plaza and Stephen Root. The movie follows two hard-partying brothers who place an online ad to find the perfect dates for their sister’s Hawaiian wedding and find themselves out-hustled by the uncontrollable duo. Andrew Jay Cohen & Brendan O’Brien (Neighbors) have written the screenplay. Peter Chernin (Rise/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Oblivion), Jenno Topping (Spy, The Heat, St. Vincent)) and Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, 50/50, The Night Before) are producing the project. Cardoni also continues to score Fox’s The Grinder and Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life. His other upcoming feature projects include the comedy Smitten! starring Darren Criss and Bob Nelson’s The Confirmation, which will be released on March 18.
