Atlantic Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO original series Vinyl. The album features selections of the songs from the first season of the show by artists including Ty Taylor, David Johansen, Kaleo, Otis Reeding, Ruth Brown, Foghat, Soda Machine, Dee Dee Warwick & more. Also included is the series’ title song Sugar Daddy by Sturgill Simpson. The soundtrack will be released on February 12, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Vinyl is created by Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), executive produced by Martin Scorsese and stars Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Juno Temple, Ato Essandoh, P. J. Byrne, J. C. MacKenzie, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen and Paul Ben-Victor. The drama is set in 1970s New York and tells the story of a record executive trying to resurrect his label and find the next new sound.
