A soundtrack album will be released for Tom McCarthy’s drama Spotlight. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silence of the Lambs, The Aviator, Hugo). The soundtrack will be released on November 6, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Spotlight is co-written and directed by McCarthy and stars Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, John Slattery, Stanley Tucci, Brian d’Arcy James and Billy Crudup. The movie tells the true story of four members of the Boston Globe’s investigative Spotlight team who sacrificed everything to expose the Boston Archdiocese’s systemic cover up of sexual abuse of children by ordained priests. The drama premiered at this year’s Venice and Toronto Film Festivals and will be released in theaters on November 6 by Open Road Films.
