A soundtrack album has been released for the CBC series Trickster. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Todor Kobakov (The Samaritan, Born to Be Blue, Most Dangerous Game, Backstabbing for Beginners, Bitten). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips. Trickster is created by Michelle Latimer & Tony Elliott based on the bestselling novel Son of a Trickster by Eden Robinson and stars Joel Oulette, Crystle Lightning, Craig Lauzon, Kalani Queypo, Anna Lambe, Joel Thomas Hynes, Gail Maurice and Georgina Lightning. The drama follows an Indigenous teen struggling to keep his dysfunctional family above water whose already chaotic life is turned upside down when he starts seeing strange things – talking ravens, doppelgängers and skin monsters. The series premiered last month in Canada on CBC and will make its U.S. on January 12, 2021 on The CW. The show will also be available to stream later on AMC’s Sundance Now and Shudder.
