Federico Jusid is composing the music for the upcoming thriller Kidnap. The film is directed by Luis Prieto (Pusher) and stars Halle Berry, Sage Correa, Lew Temple and Chris McGinn. The movie follows a mother who will stop at nothing to rescue her kidnapped son. Knate Gwaltneys wrote the screenplay. Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers series, G.I. Joe, RED, Salt, Constantine) is producing the project with Erik Howsam, alongside Gold Star Films’ Joey Tufaro (Maggie) and Gregory Chou of Rumble Entertainment. Berry also is among the film’s executive producers. Jusid’s previous film scoring credits include the Oscar-winning Argentine film The Secret in their Eyes and 2012’s Everybody Has a Plan starring Viggo Mortensen. He also composed additional music for last year’s Exodus: Gods and Kings directed by Ridley Scott. Kidnap is set to be released on October 9, 2015 by Relativity Media.
