ratatouilleThe 21st Century Symphony Orchestra has announced two new concerts of its 2015/2016 season, including a performance of the Academy Award-nominated original score for Pixar’s animated feature Ratatouille performed live to projection. Michael Giacchino who previously worked together with the orchestra on several other events, including a live performances of both his Star Trek scores, has composed the film’s music, for which he received his first Oscar nomination. Two concerts will be held on November 14 & 15 at the KKL Luzern Concert Hall in Lucerne, Switzerland. Click here to order tickets. The KKL Luzern Concert Hall will also host the world premiere performance of a live to projection concert of the music for Steven Spielberg’s Raiders of the Lost Ark starring Harrison Ford. The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Ludwig Wicki, will perform the Academy Award-nominated score for the first part in the Indiana Jones series composed by John Williams live to picture on December 4, 2015 and several more times throughout the rest of the year. As previously reported, the orchestra’s other upcoming events also include Titanic Live featuring James Horner’s music for James Cameron’s classic film on March 13, 14 & 15 and May 2 & 3, as well as Back to the Future – Live in Concert, which will have its world premiere featuring new music composed by Alan Silvestri on May 30 & 31 in Lucerne.
