Gabriel Mann has been hired to score the upcoming NBC comedy Marry Me. The show is created by David Caspe (Happy Endings, That’s My Boy) and stars Casey Wilson, Ken Marino, Sarah Wright Olsen, John Gemberling, Tymberlee Hill and Tim Meadows. The comedy follows a young couple who get engaged, something they quickly realize is harder than it looks. Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief) has directed the pilot episode and also serves as an executive producer on the Sony Pictures Television production alongside Caspe, Jamie Tarses (Happy Endings, Men at Work), Moses Port & David Guarascio (Community, Just Shoot Me!). Marry Me is set to premiere on October 14, 2014 and will air every Tuesday night on NBC. For updates on the series, visit the official show website.
Mann also continues to score the ABC hit comedy Modern Family, which returns for a sixth season this fall and SundanceTV’s Rectify, which will come back for a third season in 2015. The composer is also scoring the upcoming CBS comedy The McCarthys. The show is created by Brian Gallivan and stars Laurie Metcalf, Tyler Ritter, Joey McIntyre, Jack McGee, Jimmy Dunn and Kelen Coleman. The series centers on a sports-crazed Boston family whose somewhat athletically challenged son is chosen by his father to be his assistant high school basketball coach, much to the surprise of his more qualified siblings. Gallivan is also executive producing the Will Gluck (Easy A, Friends with Benefits) and Mike Sikowitz (Rules of Engagement). The McCarthys is set to premiere on October 30, 2014 and will air every Thursday night on CBS. To learn more about the comedy, visit the official show website.
