Mark Kilian is composing the music for the upcoming ABC drama Killer Women. The show is created by Hannah Shakespeare (The Raven, Loverboy) and stars Tricia Helfer, Marc Blucas, Marta Milans, Michael Trucco and Alex Fernandez. The series centers on the only woman in the notoriously male Texas Rangers – committed to finding the truth and seeing justice served. Shakespeare is also executive producing the ABC Studios production with Sofía Vergara (Modern Family), Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, The Mask of Zorro), Ed Zuckerman (Blue Bloods, Law & Order),, Ben Silverman (The Office, The Tudors), and Luis Balaguer. Killer Woman is set to premiere on January 7, 2014 and will air every Tuesday night on ABC. For updates on the drama, visit the official show website.
As previously reported, Kilian’s upcoming projects also include the features Parts Per Billion starring Frank Langella, Gena Rowlands, Rosario Dawson, Josh Hartnett & Teresa Palmer and Revenge of the Green Dragons starring Ray Liotta, Justin Chon and Harry Shum Jr. Opening this weekend in limited release is the indie comedy Expecting and the composer’s score for the film will be released on Lakeshore Records.
Name of the band at the end of the first episode please
The band is “The Mavericks”. I was very surprised to see them. I was only half watching the show, but immediately recognized their sound and had to stop and watch! I’ve loved them for years!
Last song of episode 2/11 – In and Out – lyrics are ‘how did making it look easy get to be so hard’
Name of the song/band in opening scene? Thanks.
What was the last song to play on tonight’s episode (1/21?)? It sounded like a lyric was ‘desert high desert low” but when I googled that lyric nothing came up so I must not have heard it right. Great music, great show. Thanks!
