Mark Kilian has been hired to score the upcoming action crime thriller Revenge of the Green Dragons. The film is directed by Andrew Lau (Infernal Affairs series, Initial D – Drift Racer) and Andrew Loo and stars Ray Liotta, Justin Chon, Harry Shum Jr., Kevin Wu and Billy Magnussen. The movie is set in New York and follows two immigrants fighting their way up the Green Dragons gang, and then their struggle to confront their former associates after one of them is cast beyond the pale for his trysts with his clan chieftain. Michael Di Jiacomo has written the film’s screenplay. Stuart Ford & Allen Bain are producing the project for IM Global, as well as Ara Katz (Diary of the Dead) and Jesse Scolaro. Martin Scorsese who directed the Academy Award-winning thriller The Departed based on Lau’s Infernal Affairs serves as an executive producer. Revenge of the Green Dragons is expected to premiere in 2014.
As previously reported, Kilian also has the romantic drama Parts Per Billion starring Frank Langella, Gena Rowlands, Rosario Dawson, Josh Hartnett and Teresa Palmer coming up. The composer’s upcoming projects also include the indie drama Beyond Paradise.
