Trevor Morris has been hired to score the upcoming CW drama Reign. The show is created by Laurie McCarthy (Ghost Whisperer) and stars Adelaide Kane, Toby Regbo, Torrance Coombs, Megan Follows, Alan Van Sprang, Celina Sinden, Caitlin Stasey, Anna Popplewell and Jenessa Grant. The series tells the previously unknown story of Mary Queen of Scots’ rise to power when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis, and with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting. McCarthy is executive producing the Warner Bros Television and CBS Television Studios production with Frank Siracusa (Beauty and the Beast). Brad Silberling (Casper, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events) has directed the pilot episode. Canada’s Whizbang Films and Take 5 Productions are co-producing the project. Morris has previously scored Take 5’s The Tudors, The Borgias and Vikings, which will return for a second season next year. Reign is set to premiere on October 17, 2013 and will air every Thursday night on The CW. For updates on the drama, visit the official show website.
As previously reported, Morris is also scoring the NBC drama Dracula starring Jonathan Rhys Myers.
