Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for Ken Loach’s comedy drama The Angel’s Share. The album features the film’s original score composed by the director’s regular musical collaborator George Fenton (Gandhi, The Fisher King, Groundhog Day). Also included are two songs featured in the film by by The Proclaimers and Deadmau5. The soundtrack is now available to order overseas on the label’s website and in the US on Screen Archives, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Angel’s Share stars Paul Brannigan, John Henshaw, Gary Maitland and William Ruane. The movie premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival and has been picked up by IFC Films for domestic distribution. The film will be released in select theaters on VOD on April 12, 2013.
