Andrew Lockington has been tapped to score the upcoming fantasy adventure sequel Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. The film is directed by Thor Freudenthal (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Hotel for Dogs) and stars Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson, Jake Abel, Leven Rambin, Stanley Tucci, Sean Bean, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Head, Missi Pyle, Yvette Nicole Brown and Mary Birdsong. The movie follows Percy Jackson and his friends head into the Sea of Monsters to find the mythical Golden Fleece. Karen Rosenfelt (Twilight series), Chris Columbus & Mark Radcliffe (Harry Potter series) and Michael Barnathan (The Help, Night at the Museum) are producing the Fox 2000 Pictures production. Composer Christophe Beck scored the 2010 original film directed by Columbus. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters is set to be released on August 16, 2013 by 20th Century Fox.
Lockington whose best known previous film credits include Journey to the Center of the Earth, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and City of Ember also has the mystery drama I’ll Follow You Down coming up. The movie is written and directed by Richie Mehta (Amal) and stars Haley Joel Osment, Rufus Sewell, Gillian Anderson and Victor Garber. The film follows a scientist who mysteriously disappears during a business trip. Lee Kim is producing the project for Resolute Films and Entertainment. I’ll Follow You Down is expected to premiere later this year.
