Last week, representatives of several Harry Potter news websites talked to Alexandre Desplat about his score for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. During the interview, the composer talked about his inspiration for the project, his work process and his collaboration with director David Yates. To read a transcript of the (spoiler-heavy!) interview, visit MuggleNet or check out the audio version courtesy of Harry Potter’s Page below. In related news, Watertower Music uploaded a video from the recording sessions for score for the final Harry Potter installment showing Desplat conduct the London Symphony Orchestra. Check out the video after the jump. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will be released on July 15, 2011 in theaters and the soundtrack is coming out July 12 and is available for pre-order on Amazon (for audio clips and more information, visit our previous article).
