Composer George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Anna and the King, The Blue Planet, Hitch) is reuniting with director Nicholas Hytner on the upcoming British comedy drama The Choral. The film is written by Alan Bennett and stars Ralph Fiennes, Jim Broadbent and Simon Russell Beale. The movie takes place in Ramsden, Yorkshire, 1916 and follows a group of teenage boys and girls who join the ambitious local Choral and discover the joys of singing and the urgency of desire as the new boys come to terms with their imminent conscription into the army.

‘The Lady in the Van’ Soundtrack Details
Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the British drama The Lady in the Van. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, Hitch, Anna and the King). Also included are the classical pieces featured in the movie by Frederic Chopin and Franz Schubert. The soundtrack will be released overseas on November 6, 2015 and in the U.S. on December 11. George Fenton revealed in an interview with Celluloid Tunes that he has recently recorded his score for the upcoming British drama The Lady in the Van. The film is directed by Nicholas Hytner and stars Maggie Smith, Alex Jennings, Jim Broadbent, Frances De La Tour and Roger Allam. The movie is based on Alan Bennett’s West End stage play and follows an eccentric woman of uncertain origins who “temporarily” parked her broken down van in Bennett’s London driveway
and proceeded to live there for the next fifteen years. Hytner is also producing the BBC Films and TriStar production with Damian Jones (The Iron Lady, Millions, Belle) and Kevin Loader (Venus, Nowhere Boy, In the Loop).
