Nick Urata (Paddington, Little Miss Sunshine, Crazy, Stupid, Love., I Love You Phillip Morris, Ruby Sparks) is attached to score the upcoming animated feature Stitch Head. The film is written and directed by Steve Hudson (True North), co-directed by Toby Genkel (The Amazing Maurice) and features the voices of Asa Butterfield, Joel Fry, Tia Bannon, Alison Steadman, Rob Brydon, Fern Brady and Jamali Maddix. The movie based on the first installment in the book series of the same title by Guy Bass and tells the story of a small creature who is awoken to almost-life by a mad professor in a castle and must protect the professor’s other creations from the townspeople. Sonja Ewers (Prey, Bethlehem) is producing the project for Gringo Films, alongside Mark Mertens (My Fairy Troublemaker, Spy Cat) for Fabrique d’Images. Stitch Head is currently in pre-production and will begin CG animation in the coming months. (Screen Daily)
