Edmund Butt (Life on Mars, Bancroft, Origin, Finding Alice, Ashes to Ashes, Intergalactic, Mistress) has composed the original music for the upcoming drama Dalíland. The film is directed by Mary Harron (American Psycho, I Shot Andy Warhol) and stars Ben Kingsley, Barbara Sukowa, Rupert Graves, Christopher Briney, Alexander Beyer, Mark McKenna, Andreja Pejic, Zachary Nachbar-Seckel, Avital Lvova, Ezra Miller and Suki Waterhouse. The movie is set in New York and Spain in 1973 and tells the story of the later years of the marriage between the genius Salvador Dalí and his wife, Gala, as their seemingly unshakable bond begins to stress and fracture. John C. Walsh (Ed’s Next Move) wrote the screenplay. Edward Pressman (Wall Street, The Crow), David O. Sacks (Thank You for Smoking), Daniel Brunt, Chris Curling (Esther Khan, The Last Station) and Sam Pressman are producing the project. Dalíland will premiere next month as the closing night movie of the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
