Ariel Marx (Shiva Baby, The Tale, Rebel Hearts, To Dust, American Horror Stories, Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer, The Devil Has a Name) has composed the original music for the upcoming Hulu limited event series Candy. The show is created by Robin Veith and stars Jessica Biel, Timothy Simons, Melanie Lynskey, Pablo Schreiber and Raúl Esparza. The 5-part true crime drama tells the true story of Candy Montgomery, a 1980 housewife and mother who killed her friend Betty Gore with an ax. Veith is also executive producing the UCP and 20th Century Television production with Nick Antosca (The Act, Channel Zero), Alex Hedlund, Biel & Michelle Purple (The Sinner, Cruel Summer), as well as Michael Uppendahl (Chucky) who also directed the first episode. Candy will premiere on May 9, 2022 exclusively on Hulu.
Marx’s other recent projects include the thriller So Cold the River, which just opened in select theaters last Friday and will debut on VOD tomorrow.
