MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the South African horror fantasy drama Gaia. The album features the film’s original music composed by Pierre-Henri Wicomb (Waterfront, Die Spreeus). Gaia is directed by Jaco Bouwer and stars Monique Rockman, Carel Nel, Alex van Dyk and Anthony Oseyemi. The movie follows a park ranger on a surveillance mission in a primordial forest who encounters two survivalists who seem to have their own religion and a mysterious relationship to nature. The drama, which premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, is being released in select U.S. theaters today before coming out on VOD next Friday, June 25.
