VoenFilm Studio has released a soundtrack album for the Russian World War II epic The Last Frontier (Podolskiye kursanty). The album features the film’s original music composed by Yuri Poteyenko (Nightwatch, Day Watch, Dark Planet, Leningrad, The Spy). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Last Frontier is co-written and directed by Vadim Shmelyov and stars Aleksey Bardukov, Evgeniy Dyatlov, Sergey Bezrukov, Lubov Konstantinova, Artyom Gubin and Igor Yudin. The movie tells the story of a group of cadets from the Podolsk military academy who staged a heroic stand outside Moscow in 1941. The drama was released in Russian theaters last fall and has been picked up for a domestic release later this year by Shout! Studios.
