Marco Beltrami (Logan, 3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Scream, The Hurt Locker, Ford v. Ferrari) has recently scored the upcoming neo-noir thriller American Night. The film is written and directed by Alessio Jim Della Valle and stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Paz Vega, Emile Hirsch, Jeremy Piven, Fortunato Cerlino, Annabelle Belmondo, Mara Lane and Alba Amira Ramadani. The movie set in New York City’s corrupt contemporary art world and centers on an art deal and the ruthless head of New York’s mafia whose paths cross when Andy Warhol’s Pink Marilyn is stolen, setting off a series of unexpected events that upend their lives. Anastacia appears in a cameo role and has written and performed the title song for the film. Martha Capello, Ilaria Dello Iacono, and Giorgio Ferrero are producing the project. American Night is expected to premiere in 2021.
As previously reported, Beltrami also has Andy Serkis’ Venom: Let There Be Carnage coming up. He also has composed the music for Doug Liman’s Chaos Walking (scheduled to be released on March 5, 2021) and John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place Part II (set to open in theaters on April 23, 2021).
