David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Killing Eve, Haywire) and Gerry Diver have teamed up to co-score the upcoming British comedy thriller Pixie. The film is directed by Barnaby Thompson (St. Trinian’s, An Ideal Husband, Easy Virtue) and stars Olivia Cooke, Ben Hardy, Daryl McCormack, Colm Meaney and Alec Baldwin. The movie follows a woman who seeks to avenge her mother’s death by masterminding a heist, but soon finds herself on the run across the Irish countryside with two young men who are being chased by two deadly gangster priests. Preston Thompson (Kids in Love) wrote the screenplay. The director is also producing the Fragile Films production with James Clayton. Holmes and Diver have previously co-scored the 2018 mini-series Death and Nightingales. Pixie is set to be released theatrically in the UK on October 23, 2020. Saban Films has recently picked up domestic distribution rights for a release in the U.S. in late 2020 or early 2021.
Holmes also continues to co-score BBC America’s Killing Eve (with Keefus Ciancia), which has been renewed for a fourth season, which is expected to premiere in 2021.
