Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life, The Crown, Genius, Home) has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Silent Night. The film is written and directed by Camille Griffin and stars Keira Knightley, Roman Griffin Davis, Matthew Goode, Annabelle Wallis, Lily-Rose Depp, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Lucy Punch, Rufus Jones, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù and Davida McKenzie. The movie revolves around an extended family who come together for a Christmas dinner. Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kingsman series, Layer Cake) is producing the project for Marv Films, alongside Trudie Styler (Moon, Filth) and Celine Rattray (The Kids Are Alright, Bernie) for Maven Pictures. Silent Night is currently in post-production. No release date has been announced yet.
Balfe’s other upcoming projects include Marvel’s Black Widow, Christopher McQuarrie’s Mission: Impossible 7 & 8, Chris McKay’s The Tomorrow War, the animated feature Rumble and the second season of HBO/BBC’s His Dark Materials.
