Frederik Wiedmann (The Dragon Prince, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Field of Lost Shoes, Hangman, Doom: Annihilation) has been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi sequel Occupation: Rainfall. The film is written and directed by Luke Sparke (Red Billabong) who previously helmed 2018’s original Occupation movie and stars Temuera Morrison, Dan Ewing, Ken Jeong, Daniel Gillies, Aaron Jeffery, Zac Garred, Izzy Stephens, Trystan Go, Lawrence Makoare, Vince Colosimo and Tamala Shelton. The sequel picks up two years into an intergalactic invasion of Earth, with a group of survivors in Sydney fighting back in a desperate ground war. Carly & Carmel Imrie are producing the project. Christopher Elves has scored the original Occupation movie, which was distributed in the U.S. by Saban Films. Occupation: Rainfall is expected to be released later this year.
Wiedmann’s other upcoming feature projects include Johnny Martin’s thriller Alone starring Donald Sutherland & Tyler Posey (to be released later this year by Lionsgate), as well as Universal 1440 Entertainment’s sequels Tales from the Hood 3 and Tremors: Island Fury.
