Mark Mothersbaugh, Albert Fox & John Enroth have composed the original score for the new HBO Max original series Close Enough. The show is created by JG Quintel and features the voices of Quintel himself, James Adomian, Danielle Brooks, Jason Mantzoukas, Jessica DiCicco and Gabrielle Walsh. The animated comedy centers on a married couple, their five-year-old daughter, and their two divorced best friends/roommates all living together on the east side of Los Angeles as they are navigating that transitional time in your 30s when life is about growing up, but not growing old. The project is produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Mothersbaugh, Fox & Enroth (Tiger King, The Last Man on Earth) have previously scored all episodes of Quintel’s Emmy Award-winning Regular Show. Close Enough will premiere next Thursday, July 9 exclusively on HBO Max.
Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The LEGO Movie, 21/22 Jump Street, The Royal Tenenbaums) has also recently scored Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story, which currently airs Tuesday nights on USA. The composer also has the second season of Netflix’s Disenchantment, as well as Sony Pictures Animation’s feature Connected coming up.
