Antonio Pinto (City of God, McFarland, USA, Lord of War, Amy, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind) is scoring the upcoming drama Nine Days. The film is written and directed by Edson Oda and stars Winston Duke, Zazie Beetz, Benedict Wong, Bill Skarsgård, Tony Hale and David Rysdahl. The movie follows a reclusive man as he interviews prospective candidates – personifications of human souls – for the privilege that he once had: to be born. Jason Michael Berman (The Birth of a Nation, Seven Days in Utopia), Mette-Marie Kongsved (I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore), Matthew Lindner, Laura Tunstall (Come to Daddy) and Datari Turner (LUV, About Cherry) are producing the project. Nine Days will premiere next month at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.
