Jeff Cardoni (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, CSI: Miami, Just Friends) is scoring the upcoming ABC comedy United We Fall. The show is created by Julius Sharpe (Making History) and stars Will Sasso, Bill Ryan, Christina Vidal, Jane Curtin as Sandy Ryan and Ella Grace Helton. The series follows the trials and tribulations of the parents of two young kids, as they try to make it day to day as a functioning family. Sharpe is also executive producing the Sony Pictures, Exhibit A Film and ABC Studios production with Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief, Baywatch) and Julia Gunn. United We Fall is expected to premiere in early 2020 on ABC.
Cardoni also continues to score HBO’s Silicon Valley, which just returned for its sixth and final season, Netflix’s The Kominksy Method, which just had its Season 2 debut last month, NBC’s A.P. Bio, which will return for a third season next year on Peacock and the CBS comedy Young Sheldon, which currently airs (in its third season) every Thursday night. He is also the composer of the second of season of ABC’s Single Parents (taking over from Kevin Kiner who scored the first season), which currently airs Wednesday nights. Cardoni is also composing the music for the upcoming ABC holiday movie Same Time, Next Christmas directed by Stephen Herek (Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Mr. Holland’s Opus) and starring Lea Michele, Charles Michael Davis, Bryan Greenberg, George Newbern, Nia Vardalos, Phil Morris and Dannah Lockett. The film centers on a young woman who met her childhood sweetheart during her family’s annual Christmas visit to Hawaii and follows the characters as they reunite at the same Hawaiian resort years later. Karen Bloch Morse (Ice Castles) wrote the screenplay. FreeForm Studios is produced by Tom Mazza and David Calvert Jones. Same Time, Next Christmas will premiere on December 5, 2019 on ABC.
Among the composer’s upcoming feature projects is the psychological thriller Paradise Cove directed by Martin Guigui and starring Mena Suvari, Todd Grinnell and Kristin Bauer van Straten. The movie, which follows a contractor and his wife as they head to Malibu to flip his late mother’s beach house and are terrorized by the deranged homeless woman living underneath, is expected to premiere in 2020.
