Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, The Boys, Sausage Party) & Philip White (Nobody’s Fool, Boo 2! A Madea Halloween) have composed the original score for the upcoming comedy Jexi. The film is written and directed by Jon Lucas & Scott Moore (21 & Over, screenwriters of The Hangover) and stars Adam Devine, Alexandra Shipp, Michael Pena, Justin Hartley and Rose Byrne as the voice of Jexi. The movie follows a man whose new cellphone turns into a technological nightmare when the artificial intelligence program becomes obsessed with him. Suzanne Todd (Alice in Wonderland, Austin Powers, Memento) is producing the project. Lennertz has previously collaborated with Lucas & Moore on their directorial effort Bad Moms and its sequel A Bad Moms Christmas. Jexi will be released in theaters nationwide on October 11, 2019 by CBS Films/Lionsgate.
Lennertz is also returning to score the second season of Netflix’s Lost in Space, which is set to premiere later this year. The composer also continues to score episodes of The CW’s Supernatural, which will return for its fifteenth and final season on October 10.
