Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Loudest Voice, The Good Shepherd, Enough Said) has been hired to score the upcoming drama Dark Waters. The film is directed by Todd Haynes (Carol, Far from Heaven, Velvet Goldmine) and stars Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins, Bill Camp, Victor Garber, Mare Winningham, William Jackson Harper and Bill Pullman. The movie tells the story of a tenacious attorney as he uncovers a dark secret that connects a growing number of unexplained deaths due to one of the world’s largest corporations. Mario Correa and Matthew Michael Carnahan (World War Z, Deepwater Horizon) wrote the screenplay. Ruffalo is also producing the Participant production with Killer Content’s Pamela Koffler & Christine Vachon (One Hour Photo, Boys Don’t Cry). Dark Waters will be released in theaters on November 22, 2019 by Focus Features. Visit the official movie website for more information.
Zarvos’ other recent projects include Marc Meyers’ Human Capital, which premiered earlier this month at the Toronto Film Festival, as well as the final season of Showtime’s The Affair, which currently airs every Sunday night. The composer will also return to score the seventh and final season of Showtime’s Ray Donovan, which is set to premiere in 2020.
