Lakeshore Records has released a score album for the indie drama American Folk. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ben Lovett (The Signal, The Ritual, Synchronicity, Black Rock). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. A separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie by lead actors Joe Purdy & Amber Rubarth is also being released today. American Folk is written and directed by David Heinz and stars Purdy, Rubarth, Krisha Fairchild and David Fine. The movie revolves around Purdy and Rubarth, whose fates become intertwined after their plane is grounded in California following the September 11th attacks. The drama premiered at last year’s Santa Barbara International Film Festival and is being released in select theaters and on VOD this weekend by Good Deed Entertainment.
