Frederik Wiedmann has recently recorded his score for the upcoming crime thriller Hangman. The film is directed by Johnny Martin and stars Al Pacino, Karl Urban, Sarah Shahi and Brittany Snow. The movie follows a decorated homicide detective and a criminal profiler who collaborate to catch a serial killer who’s terrorizing a city with a macabre version of the children’s game Hangman. Michael Caissie and Charles Huttinger wrote the screenplay. Michael Mendelsohn (Wild Horses, Rage) and Arnold Rifkin (Hostage, 16 Blocks, Tears of the Sun) are producing the Patriot Pictures and Cheyenne Enterprises production. Wiedmann has previously collaborated with Martin on Vengeance: A Love Story, which will be released in the U.S. this fall. Hangman is currently in post-production. A release later this year or in 2018 is expected.
Wiedmann’s upcoming feature projects also include Death Race: Anarchy and Sniper 7: Homeland Security directed by Claudio Fäh and starring Danay Garcia and Chad Michael Collins.
