John Debney is reteaming with director Brad Anderson on the upcoming political action thriller High Wire Act. The film starring Jon Hamm, Rosamund Pike, Dean Norris, Larry Pine, Shea Whigham and Mark Pellegrino centers on a former U.S. diplomat who gets called back into service in 1980s Beirut to save a former colleague from the group responsible for his wife’s death. Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton, Duplicity, The Bourne Legacy) has written the screenplay and is also producing the project with Shivani Rawat & Monica Levinson (Trumbo, Captain Fantastic), as well as Ted Field (Revenge of the Nerds, Riddick) and Mike Weber (Jumanji) of Radar Pictures. Debney has previously collaborated with Anderson (The Machinist, Transsiberian) on the features The Call and Stonehearst Asylum. High Wire Act is currently in post-production and is expected to be released later this year.
Debney’s recent projects also include the Netflix original series Santa Clarita Diet, which is premiering today.
