The movie is the sequel to last year’s Boaz Yakin-directed feature Max, which was scored by Trevor Rabin. No plot details have been announced yet. Steven Altiere (Norm of the North) has written the screenplay. Karen Rosenfelt (Twilight series, Marley & Me, Percy Jackson series) is producing the MGM production with Ken Blancato (The Book Thief) and Matt Bierman. Edelman (Ghostbusters 2, Kindergarten Cop, Dragonheart, xXx, The Mask) has previously collaborated with Levant on the 1992 comedy Beethoven. Max 2: White House Hero is set to be released in 2017.
