Mercury Classics will release James Horner‘s concert piece, Collage, which was the composer’s last work before he passed away last summer. The concerto for four horns and orchestra was commissioned by the Houston Symphony and the International Horn Society and premiered in March of 2015 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Apollo 13, The Amazing Spider-Man) recorded the concert work with the London Philharmonic Orchestra just a few weeks before his passing. The album will be released on September 23, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released Horner’s double concerto Pas de Deux.
