BT is set to compose the score for the upcoming drama The Possibility of Fireflies. The film is directed by Deborah Chow (The High Cost of Living, Flowers in the Atticus) and stars Courtney Love & Joey King. The movie is based on Dominique Paul’s YA novel of the same title and follows a teen who dreams of becoming a writer and finds herself caught in the alluring undertow of a reckless rock ‘n’ roll freedom when she falls in love with an aspiring singer. Paul is also writing the screenplay. Amy Green is producing the project with Canadian musicians Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida who are also collaborating with BT on the film’s soundtrack. The Possibility of Fireflies is set to shoot this summer in Canada. (The Hollywood Reporter)
BT whose previous scoring credits also include The Fast and the Furious, Monster, Stealth and Catch and Release also has the documentary Aldo about the Brazilian mixed martial artist Jose Aldo coming up. The composer has also scored the thriller Solace starring Colin Farrell & Anthony Hopkins, which has been released in several international territories and is set to open in the U.S. later this year by Relativity Media.
