Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Cartel Land. The album features the film’s original music composed by H. Scott Salinas (The Square, Allegiance, Murder in the First) and Jackson Greenberg. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 30, 2015 and physically on September 18. Visit Amazon to pre-order the album. Cartel Land is directed by Matthew Heineman and centers on the battle between border vigilante groups and murderous Mexican drug cartels, with the vigilantes able to accomplish things law enforcement cannot. Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty) serves as an executive producer on the film. The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in select theaters on July 3 by The Orchard. Visit the official movie website for more information.
