Bono is writing an original song to be performed by country singer Willie Nelson for the upcoming drama Waiting for the Miracle to Come. The movie marks the narrative feature directorial debut of Lian Lunson (Leonard Cohen: I’m Your Man) and also stars Nelson alongside Charlotte Rampling and Sophie Lowe. The movie follows an aspiring trapeze artist who discovers a cryptic letter her recently deceased father once wrote directing her to a gold mine in a remote California desert. Lunson’s Horse Pictures, Molly Mayeux and Terence Berry (That Evening Sun) are producing the project with Fabrica de Cine’s Gaston Pavlovich (Martin Scorsese’s upcoming Silence). Bono also serves as an executive producer alongside Wim Wenders (Paris, Texas, Wings of Desire). Waiting for the Miracle to Come is set to begin production next month in Texas. (Deadline)
